hi,
I have a good working, spare actuator from an '88 GMC Truck (two wires) that I would like to install into an RV side door.

what type of relays set-up do I need to make this work? the factory GMC manual shows a module, I dont have one but I have a bunch of std. relays.

thanks

Here is a diagram : https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp  ( use the top diagram )

You will need two relays and an inline fuse holder with 15 Amp fuse.  The (-) Lock and Unlock inputs can be from a momentary switch or the output of an aftermarket RKE or similar system system.

Soldering is fun!

need more help..

I wired it up to the alarm like this:

using the bottom diagram (adding actuators)

it works with the alarm just fine but when I add the momentary switches to un/lock manually (momentary ground) it doesnt work, it doesnt do anything where as before I wired in the alarm it worked.

not sure whats going on?

thanks
