So its just a wire loose and not just my brain slowly dying? Wish I could find a 5900 SST Brain to buy to test it. Its 6 years old I may just be due for a new one.

Use a meter and test the outputs, see if they are functioning.
the 5900 brains are the better built brains-haven't see any go bad yet

If you have an issue with the ignition not turning on, i would check the fuses first. Replace any blown fuses. They are usually green 30amps fuses on a Red, RED / black, RED / white wire.

IF that does not work, time to pull out a test light or multimeter. Test light black to ground, and red to the wires you want to test. Activate the starter and check the ignition, start and acc wires. Same applies for the dmm, which will register 12v when activated.

constant always hot
ignition hot during remote start
acc hot when activated, shuts off for 2 seconds and back on constantly
start - turns on for 1 second, shuts off.
