I would like to know if anyone knows how to remove the built in alarm system from an AS-2481TWS system. The problem that we are experiencing is that the module will trigger the alarm function anytime the remote sliding doors or tailgate are used. The horn is not installed so at least the horn does not sound for the 60 seconds, but the lights flash on and off for 60 seconds anytime the ignition is cycled after the doors or gate are opened with the factory FOB. I am not sure if it is possible to disable the alarm function via the module programming but that would be the most convenient solution to our problem. Is there an email address for technical questions at Autostart? I was unable to find anything online. Thank you in advance.

the AS-2481 is a remote start only unit. Unless your installer or you turned on the
alarm control option, it should be off by default

Mode 4-Function 1-Option 2

What alarm? AFAIK there isn't one in an AS-2481TWS.

If the alarm uses voltage sensing, see if you can disable that. (IMO voltage sensing has almost always been a stupid idea for automotive alarms.)

Tedmond is correct. The Autostart units can act as an alarm that only monitors doors and ignition. Reprogram Mode 4 options and set function 1 to option 2 to disable this feature.

I had thought that I had disabled the alarm when I programmed the unit the 2 previous times but I guess I had not. All is working good now. Thanks again for all of the replies.
