Hi everybody I hope someone can help me, just picked up a 2006 Silverado 2500HD WT. Being a WT there are no power options all manual but it came with an aftermarket keyfob that when I hit lock or unlock it flashed the lights and a siren sounded. Looked under the dash and found a Autopage C3-RS-730 box and the remote that came with the truck is a xt-33. When I first looked at the wiring it looked nicely done still I started cutting away the electrical tape, most of the wires were taped over that weren't used such as for power locks, trunk, etc, the wiring for the remote start were all hooked up. When I hit the button for the remote start the lights turn on, the fuel pump turns on, there are some relay clicks and then nothing, it tries this 3 times and stops. While this is going on if I put the key in the ignition and try to start the truck nothing happens, I have to hit the button on the fob again to turn off the remote start then I can start the truck. Also going through the wires they never wired up the hood or brake pedal so they would shut off the remote start but I don't think these would prevent the truck from starting as the one needs to read a ground and the other a 12v source to shut it down. Anyone have any idea where to go from here? I've taken it to two local places and they wont touch it, I called the company and they just told me to find a local installer.

It looks as if they put the system in purely for 2way security reasons. If you want the remote start to work, you will need to purchase a bypass module. Consider idatalink ads-alca, Fortin evo-all, Xpresskit dball. I prefer idatalink over any other brands, but all have something good.
First things first. take everything out and start fresh. Its much harder to cut harness to find the wires you need, than bench prep and have wires you need. Using the idatalink you would have cut the installation down to ~12 wires.
