I purchased Ready Remote Model #23927 and the manual in the packaging ( https://www.readyremote.com/pdf/manuals/23927.pdf ) contradicts the website instructions ( https://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?action=select&yr=2800&product=Remote%20Start&make=Nissan&model=Altima# ). The manual shows vehicle accessory wire connected to ignition 2 on the module. The website shows the accessory wire being isolated using tech tip #1077. I am going to use the website install instructions but, need clarification.

Tech Tip #1077

I need to get a 30 amp relay,
step 1: connect 12V constant to pin 85 and 87
step 2: connect ignition 3 output to pin 86 ??
step 3: cut the accessory wire in half and connect ignition side to pin 87A and dash side to pin 30
step 4: connect accessory output from remote starter to dash side wire

In step 2: I need to ground the relay, it can't be a continuous ground because the blower will stay on when the car is off.
Can I use the ignition 3 wire to connect to pin 86 on the relay?

Wire the relay like the tech tip suggests, and it will work. In step 2, that is the IGN3 (-) trigger output. When the RS is activated, this output will close the relay, supplying 12V from the relay 87 to the ACCY circuit. In a normal key-on, 87a supplies the ACCY from the key switch.

Follow the tech tip. It will work.
