I've done several manual transmission r.s. cm7200 but this one has me perplexed. i ended up disconnecting the door triggers and ebrake connections to use jumpers for test purposes. i start the car with the key, step on the foot brake, connect p.brake (light blue-cm7200) to ground and leave it connected throughout the entire process, remove key from igniton (the car keeps running), tap the door trigger to ground (RED / white-cm7200), the car shuts down after 10 sec (thats the option i chose).

when i go to remote start the car after that i get 3 light flashes followed by 7 light flashes. seven light flashes means reservation off. arent the door\trunk trigger (the trunk trigger is not connected) and parking brake the only trigger that can affect reservation mode?

I mostly use directed product but looking at your response the only thing I can think is asking if you hooked up tach?

If the Tach isn't the issue here is another possibility.  Here is a note from the CM7x00 install guide :

FT-DAS Firstech Digital Adjustable Sensor (Required for Manual Transmissions)

i installed one and it works like a charm. i thought i could get by without putting it in but not the case unless the green loop is cut. anyone know how the rear defrost works? i wanna shut off the output when not using it without wiring a SPST switch in line with the output

Use programming option 3-13.  You can set it to come on at 42 degrees or 32 degrees F.  You will need to add the optional
temperature sensing thermistor at port CN8.  Also need to set 3-14 for the correct type / length output.

Here is wire info from Omega :
Rear Defrost   BLACK/ GREEN (-)    AT G.E.M. ANTI THEFT MODULE
Have to test to see if it's a pulse or latched signal.
