Hi,

I've installed a advanced key push start system and the system needs a 12v brake wire. As I can't use the brake wire because it doesn't have 12v I'm thinking of using a brake light feed. So can someone tell me the location of the brake light wire in the kick panel that has 12v? this is for a 2005 lexus is300. OR does anyone have other suggestions that would give me 12v when I step on the brake?

IS300 2004-2005

BRAKE GREEN / WHITE (+) @ SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL

tried that wire but didn't have 12v so I cant use it. i'm looking for the connector that has the brake light wire feed which will hopefully have 12v.

Test for the colour at either brake light then work back to the front floor loom to find the same colour and test. That's making sure.
BTW I'm with Chev on this also it will probably work down to about 4 volts providing you've gone to the right wire and not a cruise control cut-out wire.
