I have a viper 4105v with a smart start installed...

I would like to have a blinking light when I lock the doors like I have on my other vehicle which has a Viper 5101

How can I hook up an LED to flash when the doors are locked and not flash when unlocked

Is this possible? Or very difficult?

You could buy a flashing LED and wire it to the Orange Ground when locked wire pin 5 on the 9 pin harness.

You can also have a flashing LED even without an alarm. I've done a couple of these this way: Use a flashing LED. Wire red (+) to Hot at All Times. Wire the (-) to any wire that is hot in IGN. When the IGN is on, + on both sides = LED off, but with IGN off, the IGN provides  ground for the LED. If the vehicle has DAB, connect the (-) of the LED to the DAB. Then the LED won't flash until a door is opened, or the DAB times out.
