I purchased a remote start/security, proxy sensor, and bypass online with the intention to install myself but after looking at it, it's just so intimidating. I've always been more than proficient with A/V so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm at the point where I'm gaining some knowledge reading forums and watching videos but the more comfortable I get, the more I feel like I'm lost if that makes sense. Please help me. I'll start with a few questions.

I've downloaded the install guide located here: Here

I see that I can use either install type 3 or 8 (3 being hard wire and 8 using T harness). I called Flashlogic to find out if I need to buy their tipstart harness or non. I was told that I can't use the t harness because it's a manual. Is this true? I was hoping to eliminate as much splicing and searching by using the harness and hardwire the remainder.

Assuming I can use the harness, is it as easy as plugging the cables into the flcan, plug it into the data port of the brain, and connect the t portion to the ingnition harness? Followed by few hard wires remaining?

I'm sorry this is so long, I just wanted to be as clear as possible. Any help would be great, thanks.

I don't know that they make that t-harness any longer, so that may be why they say that. Also the new version for that vehicle's T-harness does not work on manual transmissions.

If you can find that t-harness, you could use it. You will need to hard wire some parts. Also it may help if you list the type of vehicle, my guess is a jeep or ram.

It is a simple install if you follow the directions as they have them laid out.
