Hello,

I did a search and didn't find any real walkthrough of how to install a car starter in a 2004 Corolla with pictures and where to connect what. Also I could not really find if I need any sort of bypass module or some key thing.

I did find this wiring but I am in need of some more information.

If you post what brand/model of remote starter you have?
And is your corolla an Auto trans or manual trans?
Power locks? Factory alarm?

As for the transponder key, if you haven't tried a $1.99 hardware store copy, try this test :

Here is a link to a good source for wire info :  https://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Toyota&model=Corolla   They have some photo's.

Thank you for all the replies.

I have tried and the car turns on with a normal metal key. This means that I do not need a bypass module, right?

On the brain of the unit it says

Model #: PD472
Version H4.8 V4.3
Also has a SMARTSTART as a push button logo.

The car is an automatic transmission and it has power locks but I do not believe it has a factory alarm.

Don't know about the other two but I've never heard of it!
Any chance make and model or a more important the units wiring?

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
