I recently had the Viper 5906v installed in my Sierra and noticed that if the truck is running that the Viper remotes will not lock or unlock the truck only the factory remote will. Is there any way to change this or does the having the ignition on disable the remotes functions?

What year is it? Was a module used? The Viper remotes should definitely be unlocking the truck while it was running. Are you getting confirmation chirps from the siren when you push lock or unlock from the viper remote?

It's a 2004 and yes a module was used. I found that you can put it in pit stop mode by activating remote start while running and getting out and locking it. It will not lock or unlock while running without doing this and yes it does chirp when using the remote
