Subject: Transit Connect unlock?

I'm wanting to add a simple hidden switch under the dash to break the unlock wire to disable the side and rear door unlocking. Ive had a look and cut the BLACK/ white from the rear, this cuts the unlock if its already locked but also the locking. I only want to prevent unlocking to prevent the tibble key break in which are rife in my area. Can it be done?
TIA.

What year is this vehicle? On pre 2013 if you go to the left hand kick panel you will find the GEM module to the left of the fusebox.
There are some wires, WHITE/ black, yellow/black etc. exiting one of the plugs.
You can use a 12V tester or DMM to tell which one but one is the motor wire to unlock side and rear. Break that and it can't be unlocked from the key.

It's a 2007. I took the 3 contacts out of the side door and found the 12v on unlock wire to ground, then cut and soldered the switch in. Switch also stops it locking and I'm not wanting that.

To clarify, I've tried to get the unlock wire from the GEM to the rear locks, they seem to pulse.

That's a trigger wire you want the lock wire on an 07 read my first post, its either WHITE/ black, yellow/black or plain white or plain yellow. That again is the unlock motor wire, that's the one you want and of course it pulses that's how it works. The motor wire is ground (earth) at rest goes to 12 Volts + for 0.4-0.8 of a second whichever wire does that on rear unlock is the wire you want.
How much easier do you want this to be? I've told you where, roughly the colour, the rest is up to you.

Sounds like the one I got when tested which was BLACK/ white. Will have another look. Cheers.

I'm sorry I can be more precise it's two years since I've alarmed one and I never write it down!
But that colour sounds right. If it was WHITE/ black! If you put your meter red to 12V+ and your black probe to that wire, set 20 VDC if it goes to 12V+ on unlock, it's a trigger wire not motor.
Should do the trick though

Might be better to snip the unlock wire from the front doors then I won't need a switch. The side door has no key and I'm going to blank the back doors key hole. Then the remote would still work. Does that sound possible?
