I have a 97 Subaru Forester T/tb Japanese (ej20 turbo engine)

Iam looking for:
a) RPM (tacho) signal wire
and
b) Ignition (12V) signal wire

Engine compartment wires, ECU pins,
and any wiring diagrams will be very helpful.
thanks

You'll need to probe and see. Set your multimeter do AC voltage, black lead to ground, red lead to suspect wire. Start the engine. Your voltage will vary with engine speed.

Measured with multimeter

1) RED / green wire - It seems that we found rpm signal
0.5 VAC to 2.0 VAC (idle - accelaration).
Is it an acceptable range or it doesnt matter?

2) light blue wire
Gives 12VDC when the switch turn to ignition position.

3) yellow/red wire should be the ground

That'll work. Hook it up and reward yourself with a beverage.

Yes there are different protocols for OBD II, but your vehicle predates the CAN bus systems. I wouldn't your factory pinout though.
