Hi all I am installing a 5305v in a 2001 toyota corolla. The alarm is working I can arm and disarm and get signal when the alarm is triggered, but when I try to run the remote start the system will buzz the led on the control will flash like 13 times then the parking light would flash this would happen 3 times then finally the system would stop trying to start the car.
I tried grounding the WHITE/ blue wire and I would hear the system beep but nothing will happen. I connected the tach wire to the white wire at my ignition coil.
I'm at a loss at this point
Any help would be appreciated

Perhaps you could list your Viper to vehicle connections?  That will give us a better idea of what is going on.

Immediately disconnect Pin 17 and Pin 21 connections you listed.  Hopefully these did not fry your Viper.

I have one more question when I unlock the door with the remote the door lock opens then closes. I will have to try opening it again to pulse once. Is there a setting to change it?

On your 5305, check Menu 2 Item 7 for Unlock Pulse. Option 1 is default for a single unlock output. Option 2
is the setting for a double unlock output.

Oh, hello Kreg, just about to comment when I saw your last line:-"Immediately disconnect Pin 17 and Pin 21 connections you listed. Hopefully these did not fry your Viper."
Unfortunately pin 21 connection might have done.

A case of either not reading nor understanding the instructions.

Hi, Howard. The unlock issue is a bit strange. Don't know if that's a programming issue.

We fell apart against the Scum (Chelsea)then had our biggest defeat in 4 years against a team going down when all we had to do was draw to come second still a good season, 2 good players for next ear and we might be there.
I'll leave you and our OP with two thoughts, KEYSENSE required and maybe a fauty micro switch or motor out of position in one of the front doors.
