Does the motor turn over but does not start? Does it not do anything when you try to start it?

Did the alarm have a starter kill relay connected to it?

What brand alarm?

Very few remote start systems sold here utilize an ignition kill as well as starter kill. If this system kills ignition you will have to find the 2 wires associated with that feature, follow them. They should both connect to the same color wire of the vehicle. You will need to connect the 2 ends of that same color wire together again.

If a alarm wire is "tapped" into a car wire, like a T, remove the alarm wire.

If an alarm wire is joined to only a single car wire, find the other car wire of the same color, disconnect the two alarm wires, and join the car wires of same color back together.

The groups of relays may be a home-made ghost switch, or other anti-theft measure. Use the same strategy as above. If it's a T to a car wire, remove the add-on wire. If it is spliced, remove both wires, and rejoin the car wires.
