Anyone have recommendations on doing a data or RF bypass for an 08 GMC Sierra? I will probably be using a Fortin EVO-ALL or DEI DBALL2, and a T-harness. Fortin does't mention power consumption, but DEI recommends the RF route because of power consumption. Is the data route more reliable? Is the bypass just as fast as the RF method?

Thanks!

The RF method with the DBALL2 and the RFLCHGM is basically adding (programming)a transponder key and emitting the transponder id to the key cylinder through the loop when remote start is activated. In data mode the DBALL2 needs to stay on to maintain the connection to the vehicle. All other data functions remain unchanged when using the RF mode.
