Old installer here. I have installed remote starts and alarms, several years ago when working for dealerships. I haven't done one in a long time. I have an Excalibur AL-2060-EDPB(v2.0), and a Blade-AL64. I believe the Blade is to cut down installation time...less wiring. After looking at the installation manuals this is what I have come up with.

Any function of the aftermarket alarm that you want to work that the Blade doesn't support through data will need to be connected to vehicle. Follow the Blade install connections to vehicle and Alarm R/S. Then test all functions(Lock,Unlock,R/S, R/S brake shutdown, [Hood pin trigger and remote start interrupt], door trigger ect.) for proper operation and function. Then make any additional connections necessary for the functions not supported by the Blade.

You can watch this video to help you understand the bypass side of the install.

Got everything but the horn up and running...everything works great thanks to all of you.

Where do I hook up the following wires?

Horn Relay N/C (+/-) Input - BROWN / BLACK
Horn Relay COM Output - BLUE/BLACK
Horn Relay N/O (+/-) Input - VIOLET/BLACK

Thanks again!!!!

These are the contact side of a relay, 30,87, and 87a. The coil side 85,86 of the relay is internally controlled. The BLUE/BLACK (30) should need to be hooked up to the TAN (-)horn. And VIOLET/BLACK (87) would be connected to Ground for your vehicle as the horn is a negative trigger.

Ok, I give up...it looks like to me there are three tan wires(although some could be light brown). Is there a way to make sure I have the right one, or could I pick it up some other place. Is it possible someone has a picture of where it is? This is all I need to complete the install.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Well I finally found the wire!!! Now where would be a good place to put the shock sensor????

Thanks again to everyone for helping out an old timer...now I know why I quit doing these, although with the blade it mad it easier, and a lot less time...

Thanks again!!!

Large wire loom is usually a good place for the shock sensor.
