I am installing a remote start and security system in an 09 silverado WT. I started to put together a relay circuit to drive the dome lamp circuit, however I realized that this would remove my ability to disable the dome lights on entry via the dash button. So my question is, does anyone see any issues with connecting the - dome light circuit to the drivers door trigger circuit instead, there-by tricking the bcm into driving the dome light circuit unless the dash button has it disabled?

As long as the output from the Alarm R/S is negative for the domelight supervision it will be fine.
