hey 24 volters lol
anyway, my remote starter requires a 180 ohm resistor, but has no mention of amperage required.
does it matter ?
In hours of searching i found lots of 8, 20, 100, 500 and thousands of them. These things are cheap !!
I need just one piece.
i found a 8 pack for 3.00 on fleabay of 180 ohm / 180R - 1 watt / 1W - 5% - Carbon Film Resistors (8 Pieces)
will these be sufficient or should i order something else ?
in which direction should these be orientated, does it matter ?
or is someone around NE ohio that wants to sell me just one.
thanks
chris

Without knowing what kind of vehicle you are driving we will have to guess. 1/4 watt devices work in all applications I have encountered.

sorry, 2014 chev sonic.
this will go onto the clutch yellow wire.
I bought the 1 amp ones without finding anything about which would be beteer, also they came in the 8 pack, not the 100 pack.
i will never use these again i don't think.
will the 1 amp work ok, and does the orientation matter ? If so, which way ?
thanks for the quick reply.

It does matter which way a diode is inserted. Exactly what are the instructions about the diode and the resistor?
