While you will get many different opinions, if depends on what range and features you are looking for.

One way, Two Way, 400 foot range, 1 mile(rated) range...

Myself, I like the Viper 4204, 4806, 4706. But that's just me. Some people don't like the Viper(DEI) systems.
These are not consumer supported by DEI, where as Bulldog systems have consumer support.

I'm looking for just a basic remote starter feature, nothing else. The distance is not very far so the range isn't very important. I would really like to find a plug and play solution.

Thanks

Push to Start or regular ignition key?

How is the range on the factory remotes? Long enough?

The vehicle has a regular ignition key. The factory remote is actually the key itself. The range of the factory remote is fine.

Thanks

If the range on the factory remotes is acceptable, you can do a very easy install and use the factory remote
and 3 presses of the Lock button to start the engine. All you need is a EVO-ALL with the correct firmware
flash, a fuse holder with 5 Amp fuse, a hood pin switch and a simple ON / OFF switch.

Here is a link to the EVO-ALL install guide for this setup :
