Any know anything about these ? I have a bitwriter with version 2.9. out of the blue it won't read any module. It loads just fine but when I hit read it says no response from module. I've checked the wiring that comes from the bitwriter all ohms out ok. I've tried multiple modules. They have all been 4103 modules. I've also tried Grounding the WHITE/ blue thinking maybe the 4103 wasn't in the correct mode.

Any ideas ? Happy Belated Thanksgiving 😀

Strange problem. I've had issues trying to write to a 4105 before. Seems that changing the run time to 15 minutes isn't allowed.

If the cable looks good have you replaced the battery? There's a 9V battery in the handle. I've never replaced it but I don't do a lot of DEI installs.

Give it a good slapping, that brings it to life.
Also the leads tend to break at the plugs, check continuity.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Thanks guys changed the battery still same issue. Howie I tried slapping it around a few times still no go. Pulled it apart did a quick visual on the inside. All looks ok to me. Ohmed out the harness looks good to the meter. The end the goes to the bitwriter is a bit rough. I found a new harness on eBay and I'm thinking I'll order a new harness and see what happens from there.

Have you tried it on units other than the 4x03? Might be interesting to check it on a 470x or 570x.

I haven't yet. I do mostly 4103 for dei anyway. I get the kits per job so I don't have a stock of stuff.
