2015 Subaru Forester with Key Start
Idatalink ACLA with the flash of SUB3-EN
Avital 4115L Remote Start (1 way)
I'm wiring and have a few questions:
1. The diagram from Idatalink shows I should have 2 Starter wires in my remote start wiring. The Avital 4115L has only 1 starter wire. I've read in the forums for other models to use Avital Pin 3 PURPLE (-) 200mA STARTER OUTPUT on the 4 Pin Satellite harness connected via a relay to the Start2 wire in the ignition switch - is this what I need to do?
2. In a search for Avital installation instructions, one post I found mentioned the remote start doesn't come default in D2D mode and I have to ground the WHITE/ blue activation wire to switch from Bitwriter/ESP2 to the D2D. Again, is this what I need to do?
3. On the datalink wiring diagram it looks like if I'm using D2D mode, only 6 wires from the Avital 4115 get connected -- the 6 in the heavy gauge relay (plus the one mentioned above for Start2). Is that it? Do all other connections come from the ALCA? Lights? E-brake status? Ground? Lock/Unlock? Power?
4. Do I set the parking light jumper on the Avital 4115 to + or -?

I didn't get any replies, but used the idatalink support line to answer my questions. Thought I'd put in the information I found so that someone browsing could find it.
1. According to idatalink, Avital remote starters are notorious for not working in D2D mode, so they advised me to hard wire.
2. For my remote, the only trouble with hard wiring was finding the "GWR" wire from the Avital unit. It is the blue/white that I think they call "status."
3. Besides connecting the black grounds from the Avital and the ALCA, I had to ground those wires manually to a good ground. This is the ground that provides a good ground to the idatalink when it is being programmed, so it has to be grounded all the time.
4. I did have to add the 30amp relay with the purple wire from the satellite cable to connect to starter 2.
