Hello, I want to wire my fortin/crimestopper Passlock-sl2-v2 as a stand alone no remote start, just a little confused because all instructions i find are for use with a remote start.

here's what i think I think i just have to do
ground out the (blue) while running wire
yellow ignition wire would go to my pink ignition in the harness
Red to +batt
black to -ground

most instructions say to connect BCM data on module(orange) to violet Data on OBDII port?

but the fortin instructions show ORANGE / black Data In and orange data from bcm connecting, both to yellow from the key switch

and black ground specifically to the negative wire coming from key switch

So should i forget about the Violet wire on the Diagnostic port?

You're confused? I'm really confused. What exactly are you trying to do?

The Fortin PASSLOCK-SL2 v.2 bypass module is a resistance based bypass module for Passlock2. I can't find any PASSLOCK-SL2 v.2 instructions that mention the use of the Violet wire at Pin 2 of the OBD2 connector. That connection is usually used by Data style bypass modules.

Soldering is fun!

As a stand alone to what? What are you trying to accomplish here? That part is designed to work with a remote start system.
