OK guys, I have always been a DEI guy in the past, but my business changed direction quite a few years back and I left the retail world for the private fleet install world (gps, cameras, etc.) anyways last winter after many requests I finally started offering some remote starts for some of my customers and I immediately suggested DEI (they buy Avital and DBALL online and I install it) I am not a dealer so this obviously causes a few issues for me, warranty, no smart start option, and the biggest being unable to access key2go. I have recently considered offering an add on option like the Fortin systems that come with the T harness (the price is right) but sadly enough I know nothing about them. So here are a few questions:
1. If I was to say offer the EVO-FORT1 for a 2011 escape as a factory remote add on remote start, what all does this upgrade include? RS only or RS/Alarm? does it add any other features like heated seat control etc. (not really specific to any vehicle just looking at getting a small stock of a few popular varieties)
2. Do I need to be an authorized dealer to access the fortin Dcryptor option (key2go) and is there anything I need to know about this (like how long does this feature take to program?)
3. how is the programming, say compared to DEI?
any other helpful info that you guys may have to help me decide would be great. also price is important to me so any info around that would be helpful too.

one other question I forgot to ask, as a second option can I just use the evo key or evo all as a replacement for the DBALL2 in w2w mode with the Dcryptor (if I don't need to be a dealer) in situations where the owner only has one working key and key2go is their only realistically priced option?

idatalink is my favorite bypass, and their KLON is best. similar to fortin, you need to buy the programmer but they have no other restrictions.

Fortin does not require you to be a dealer in order to use the Dcryptor function.
Programming in my opinion, is almost easier with the Fortin than DEI's DBALL2.
The EVO-ALL is simply a interface module that can control some amenities as well as function as a bypass module (also have the luxury of standalone RS system on some vehicles). The EVO-ONE is your Remote start/Alarm interface. You can control things like heated seats, defrosters, door unlocks, disarm before unlock, etc. with the EVO-ALL.
