Subject: clifford remote in Toilet, can’t disarm truck

Hello,
So this has been a royal pain in my butt, my baby likes to play with the key faub, he was pushing the buttons, then he ran off remembering the toilet might be open. in it went.
So I have an armed truck with the Clifford 590.2x and a remote that doesn't seem to work.
I dried it off, disconnected the battery hair dry, put it in rice for a while...
The remote appears to work except when I push lock or unlock nothing happens. I thought I might have lost the 'paring' with the truck, but when I manually unlocked the door and set off the alarm the key faub went off (saying the alarm was going off), but when I push unlock nothing happens.
I am guessing the transmitter part of the circuit might be fried.
I ordered a new key faub, but I have no idea how to disarm the truck now. That would normally be the point of the alarm.
So currently the truck is disconnected from its battery and I have dug the clifford unit out from under the dash.
Any suggestions on where to go from here?
I have the ignition key, the clifford remote but not sure what to do.
The alarm has a 'neutral switch' but not a valet switch
Any suggestions or pointers would be helpful
Thanks
Dave

Valet Mode
Valet mode can be entered and exited by performing the Remote Valet
command or manually using the vehicle key and the control button.
When entered, the alarm functions are defeated while the convenience
features still operate normally.
Arm and Disarm commands lock and unlock the doors while the
LOCKED IN VALET and UNLOCK IN VALET animations and beeps play
to confirm.
Use the following steps to manually enter and exit Valet Mode:
1. Turn the ignition switch On and then Off
2. Immediately press and release the control button once
3. The control center LED turns On when entering and Off when
exiting.

Thank you! I will try it once the baby is awake.

So just to confirm:
1. reconnect battery (alarm will start going off)
2. turn the key to on and push the control button once

At this point i'll be able to 're-pair' the remote to see if it will work, if not i guess i will be waiting for the new remote to pair

Thanks again,
I'll let you know how it goes

Don't you have the companion, 1 way remote that came with the system

I don't think you can enter Valet Mode when the alarm is actively triggered. The alarm has to be disarmed first. Then you can do the Valet mode. Perhaps the 5902 is different, but I don't think so.

On older DEI's, open the door which sets off the alarm, turn key = ON, push the button X-times (programmable 1-5 pushes, default = 1), wait 3 seconds, alarm should disarm. Turn key off. If = NO, turn key off, turn back on, try a different number of pushes, wait 3 seconds.

What a relief, I was able to get this to work, although it was slightly different.
I turned the key on, pressed the control button, and turned the key off.
Also, an interesting note: if I lock the truck from the door and close the door it arms the alarm. Maybe that is normal, but I had never seen that before.
Thank you all for your help!

Turn key on, push button, turn key off DISARMS the alarm. This is what you did. You disarmed the alarm, but did not enter valet mode.

After the alarm is disarmed (above) NOW, turn key on, turn key off, push button. Now you will be in Valet, and the alarms shouldn't arm when you lock the truck. It will stay in Valet indefinitely. You don't have to do it every time you enter the truck.
