I need complete help in wiring a viper 5706v with dball2 to a 2009 vibe gt. I have everything to do the job including the xkloader3. I guess what confuses me the most is the 10 pin connections off the viper unit to the vibe gt.

When you connect the XKLoader to the DB-ALL2 and signon to do the firmware flash ( TL1 ), you will see a box to open for the DirectWire wiring info for your car. Click on that to get the DEI wiring info. If your car has the 2.4L engine, you have two Ignition wires, two Starter wires and one Accessory wire at the 10 Pin main ignition switch connector. You might see that there are multiple White and/or Black wires that have different functions ( Starter and +12V constant ). Note the actual pin position, color and function of all ignition wires and then verify that info with a Digital Multi Meter at the cars ignition switch. The Viper will be able to directly handle IGN1, IGN2, Starter and Accessory. If you have the 2.4L engine with the Starter2 wire, you will need an extra 30/40 Amp relay with harness and inline fuse. You will use the Vipers Violet/Yellow (-) 200mA Starter output to control that relay. Either way, post what your find and we can supply the Viper wiring and connections.

I am still lost on this. I pulled the wiring diagram off the site and the ign switch is a 8 pin, I know what each of these wires go to. So just trying to figure which color wires from the alarm 10 pin connector to which on car.

OK, so please list the cars ignition switch harness wires with color and function. We can give you the Viper to car connections from that.

Here are the ones that I believe the 10 pin viper harness will go to. This is from directtec.
    Item   wire color   location

12v     white 120A     dash fuse box white 1 pin plug pin1
second 12v Blue 30A 2.4 model   Ign. switch pin 7
starter Black              Ign. switch pin 8
second starter            whiteIgn. switch pin 1
Ignition   Brown              Ign. switch pin 6
Second Ignition              GreenIgn. switch pin 4
Accessory     Gray Ign. switch pin 3
I usually can do anything myself but this alarm install has been stumping me. Shops in my area wanted 350 to 450 for install. I just put a kenwood Hu in it with jl amp, focal components, front and rear with jl sub and I cant drive it anywhere. I am 58 yrs old and been building cars all my life but this is first attempt at the newest alarm systems. I appreciate all the help and knowledge from this forum that everyone has to offer.

The Viper install guide is very cryptic and brief with plenty of install trade terminology. Viper prefers to keep non-professional installers out of their industry. That is part of the reason you don't get to many answers from Viper techs on open forums.
Here is the Viper wiring :

Remote Start, 10-pin heavy gauge connector
1 NC No Connection
2 RED/BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT        WHITE (+) @ Dash Fuse Box
3 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY 87A of FLEX RELAY            not used
4 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT          GREEN (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Pin 4
5 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT      BLACK or WHITE (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
6 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE)    \ BLACK (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Pin 8 *
7 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE) / cut wire       BLACK (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Pin 8 *
8 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT             GRAY (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Pin 3
9 RED/WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2      WHITE (+) @ Dash Fuse Box
10 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT       BROWN (+) @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Pin 6
* If you don't want or need Starter Kill / Anti-Grind, do not cut the Black Starter wire and only connect the Viper Violet Starter wire.
Leave the Viper Green wire not connected / not used.

Relay for Starter2 wire :
Relay Pin 85 to Viper Violet/Yellow (-) 200mA Starter output
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to Blue 30A @ Ign. switch pin 7 or White @ Fuse Box
Relay Pin 30 to Vibe Starter2 White @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS, Pin 1

No. Your Viper has a Flex relay output from an internal relay. Because it can be programmed for IGN2, ACC2 or Starter2, they call it a Flex relay as opposed to the fixed relay outputs like IGN, ACC or Starter that can not be changed.

It is a full current output that can handle up to 30 Amps.

Thats what I was thinking. Another question the 6 pin plug off the viper has a red tape like tab seal and according to the wiring on dball2 I am to use the red and black from that 6 pin for power and ground.

Yes, the Viper 6 Pin plug is used as follows ( assuming W2W mode ) :

Main Harness, 6-pin connector
1 RED (+)12VDC CONSTANT INPUT   WHITE (+) @ Dash Fuse Box - Also connect DB-ALL2 Red @ Blue plug Pin 13
2 BLACK (-) CHASSIS GROUND      Chassis Ground - Also connect DB-ALL2 Black @ Blue Plug Pin 14
3 BROWN (+) SIREN OUTPUT        to Siren
4 WHITE/BROWN PARKING LIGHT PIN 87a            not used
5 WHITE PARKING LIGHT OUTPUT    BROWN (-) @ VEHICLE LIGHT SWITCH ** Set Viper jumper fuse to (-)
6 ORANGE (-) 500mA GROUND WHEN ARMED           not used

Thanks. I am trying to do this install as a d2d.

With D2D, the DB-ALL2 gets its' input power and ground via the D2D harness. The Red and Black wires at the Blue 14 Pin Plug are dashed lines and therefore are not needed.

W2W = all necessary inter module connections must be hardwired ( dashed lines on install diagram ).
D2D = all dashed lines shown on the install diagram are made via the D2D harness ( not hardwired ).

You can just ground the NSS

Do you cut nss switch wires and ground both black wires or just 1 of them?

Ok so everything is wired and so far this is what I have.
Dball2 stays solid red and will not link and yes I flashed it. Do I have to have the keysense wired?
remote start does not work and blinks parking light 7 times.
The alarm arms and disarms but is not unlocking or locking the doors.

I have figured out the remote problem for starting the car. It was in manual mode and now I have switched it to automatic mode. I think if I can get the dball2 to working that will take care of the rest of my problems.

So here I am trying to clear my mind this morning and I still have some issues. I cannot get the dball2 to work it just stays solid red. The other issue is the remote start does start and shut off car but does not shut down when applying brake without key in. Also when I put key in then shut key off the vibe still stays running. I think this might be a key sense thing but which wire from 5706 to wire on vibe.

Are you going W2W or D2D between the Viper and the DB-ALL2?

Did the DB-ALL2 program in exact accordance to the install guide instructions for the Type 1 install?

It would appear that the Viper is not getting a Brake signal. If this is coming from the DB-ALL2 via the D2D harness, you could try going hardwire between the Viper and the DB-ALL2 or even directly from the Vibes Brake pedal wire to the Viper.

d2d but the dball2 just stays solid red . Also which wire goes to key sense? I know the vibes key sense wire but dont know which wire it would be from the viper.

Not sure the Keysense wire really matters, but if it makes you feel better, the typical use of Keysense in Toyota vehicles is to turn off the Factory Alarm during a remote start without unlocking the doors and the Viper signal that is used would be (-) Status Output. Does the Vibe have the Factory Alarm system? Does the Factory Alarm go off during a R/S?

Your primary problem is the DB-ALL2 and I would get that part sorted before worrying about Keysense. It would appear that it is not correctly programmed to the vehicle. This is supported by the fact that is not supplying the Brake signal to the Viper and the fact that you have a solid Red LED. While I am not a DB-ALL2 user, according to the chart at the end of the install guide Page 25, it states :
Solid Red      Waiting to begin the programming sequence.      Refer to the wiring diagram to make sure that all the connections are correct.

I guess the first question is : Did the DB-ALL2 follow the Type 1 vehicle programming as per the install guide Page 20?

Ok got brake to kill car when key is not in and key to shut off once I turn off. Only 2 issues remain. Issue 1 is dball2 I have flashed it 3 times and yet it stays constant red. I am questioning whether I even need dball2. Issue 2 the doors wont unlock or lock with viper remote but the alarm activates correctly. If I use the factory key fob it will unlock and lock the doors and disarm or arm accordingly.

Will the Viper Alarm go off if you open a door or pop the trunk?
Are you still going D2D for the Brake signal input to the Viper?
Will the car start with a key if you wrap the keyhead in 5 layers of aluminum foil?

You could try switching over to W2W mode. That way you could test the DB-ALL2 outputs to see if it is doing everything it is supposed to. All those signals you are missing come from the DB-ALL2.

Thanks for all your help kreg357. I am gonna solder and make neat what I did, gonna leave off all the panels so they wont have to worry about taking that off. Just gonna asked them to install dball2 and finalize my project and not worry about the panels and trim because I will put that back together.

Ok I am gonna try this again because I went to the local shop and they wanted $625 to put in. I found out I do not need to use the dball2 because I have the american vibe and it does not have the immobilizer. So I am going to direct wire from 5706v to all necessary wires, My question is do I need relays from viper to my door unlock and lock wires?

Posted By: kreg357
Date Posted: March 25, 2017 at 6:35 PM
Wow! $625 to just install? Good money, if you can get it.

OK. Dumb question but when you were using the DB-ALL2 and following the Type 1 install diagram, did you not find the
Transponder Key Amplifier and not worry about that issue? Just seems confusing to me that if you didn't connect those
DB-ALL2 wires, you didn't mention it before.

Anyway, the Vibe has basic Type B (-) door locks and a direct connection from the Viper will be fine.

Here is some wiring :

Thank you very much everything is working as far as the remote start and alarm. The last thing to tackle is I am installing the module for Phone app. How do I connect to 5706v I plugged the brown plug dsm300 into the d2d port on 5706v and I have solid amber light but when on direct site I go to test it shows signal but during test nothing works.

Should I put the glass break sensor and shock sensor on same port? I hooked both up with the provided harness that came with glass break sensor. The glass break sensor is working but the shock sensor does not seem to be working. I tried adjusting with the remote but its not responding with that either. Thank you
