I need help with power windows in my 1988 chevy c2500 truck I just bought. Passenger window won't roll up and down. Good motor and regulator I'm not getting 12v to one wire when I press the up switch. I need 12v and a ground for up and the same backwards for down. Driver window works fine.

Assuming you've checked each of the connections at each switch that operates the passenger window is properly connected, use a meter on each lead of those switches to verify it has 12V+, ground, and is supplying power and ground to the window motor leads, then go from there. It may be as simple as replacing a switch or you may have a break in one or more leads to the switch and/or window motor.

It can be either driver's or passenger side switch causing the passenger side not to work.

The passenger side switch has 5 wires on it. One is B+, two to the motor, and two to the Drivers switch. Both of these wires rest at ground through the Driver's switch. The passenger switch applies B+ to either motor wire, and the other motor wire is grounded at the Driver switch.

So if you have B+ (checked to chassis ground on each motor lead from the passenger switch, check that there is continuity (from orn/blk wire on passenger switch)to each wire going to Driver switch.
