Hi all, remote start stopped working after about a year of being installed.

Truck info:
-2008 Silverado Duramax 3500
-Python remote start (Python 5206)
-Bypass module (DBALL2).

Symptoms:
-No starter cranking (starter never engages.
-Lights on dash don't turn on when remote start is activated (accessory pwr)
Shout down diagnostics indicates 3 flashes (Low or no RPM)
I can hear relay activity inside the remote start unit when remote start is activated.

Please let me know if additional info is needed.

Any advice/help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Tach wire is not connected.
Is set up as virtual tach.

I would either try to reprogram the bypass or connect the tach wire and see if that solves your problem.

I did reprogram the bypass with the latest firmware and no change.
Older firmware was GM6. the latest is GM11, both of these are wired differently according to the installation guide.
Is there a way to go back to GM6 firmware or I'm stuck with GM11?

Thanks.

Did you run into this problem before or after updating the firmware? I think you can go back to the GM6 but I'm not 100% sure...

The issue started before updating firmware.

I would either wire the RS according to the new firmware or try and downgrade the FW. It's going to be hard to figure out what is going on until that is done.

Do you know how can I downgrade the firmware?
