Compustar RF-2WT9-FM 2 Way Communication Does Not Work

I just installed me remote start/alarm combo and the 2 way remote is not sending the signal back to the remote. It might as well be a 1 way remote. It locks, unlocks and remote starts just fine just not showing me the status of my vehicle. It always shows it’s unlocked and disarmed. I have removed the battery, programmed the remotes multiple times and unplugged antenna for 30 seconds and still not working properly. Another problem I’m having is either remote does not enter into programming mode so I can change some options around (example: truck is a diesel and I need to set the diesel timer to 12 second wait to crank time and I need to change from tachless mode to using the tach wire). I hold both the lock and unlock buttons for 3 seconds and nothing happens. No lights flashing, no siren chirping and nothing clicking from the module itself. The truck is a 2004 Ford F-350 6.0 diesel. Only thing I can possibly think of is the truck has 2 ignition wires but I only wired up the white/yellow wire only. I did not wire up the black/red 2nd ignition wire. Does that really matter? I am at my wits end with this and need some help!
