I have a 93 Dodge W250 it has a mechanical throttle. I just installed a remote start and what I am trying to do is have a high idle controlled by the trunk release button on the remote. I currently use an idle stop solenoid, however it is not strong enough. I need to bump the pedal and the solenoid just holds it, so this obviously won't work via remote. I was originally planning on using a strong solenoid to pull the cable but I'm having a difficult time sourcing. I was then looking at linear actuators. I can get a relay that will automatically retract the actuator when the power is removed but this seems overly complicated. I'd really like to keep it simple. I'm hoping that I'm just over thinking this and someone might have a better idea. Thanks

This might be too simple but how about an ol skool cable driven high idle kit. The kind you put on the dash and turn the knob. Then set it before you get out of the truck at night.

I don't really want it to immediately go in to high idle, I'd like to give it a minute or so to build oil pressure first.

Would a directed 522T trunk solenoid work to get that initial needed strong pull?
