I have a 2001 chevy silverado 1500 5.3L in installing a Avital 4105L and ran into a road block. The passlock 2 is permently bypassed who ever had the truck befor i did took the magnet from cylinder and taped to to the hall effect sensor and just placed it in the dash. Had truck for over a year already and dont have no problems with starting truck so question is since the passlock 2 is bypassed do i still have to hook up the satellite harness which is the white 4 pin connector that go to the passlock bypass module

If the Passlock2 is bypassed, there is no need for a bypass module and no need to use the (-) Status Output signal from the 4 Pin Satellite harness.

That being said, typical Passlock2 bypass is done with a resistor between the Passlock and Ground Reference wires.

Soldering is fun!
