Odd issue, hoping someone has faced this. I have a keyed 2022 (no push to start) Toyota Camry. In 2022 I had an idatastart remote start system installed. Worked fine. Fast forward to Feb 2024. Tire punctured and needed replaced, and was done. After, the car throws tpms and rear camera malfunction errors. Took it to the dealer. They said the idata start was spliced into same power wire used by tpms and rear camera, and when disconnecting, the faults clear.

To clarify, these faults appear even when started by key and not remote started.

Dealer claims no firmware updates were done. I find it odd that this would surface years later but their logic is sound. They even claimed to have attached the remote start back, got the fault. Turned off car and opened hood to disable remote start, started car, and fault was also clear.

I'm going to pick up the car this evening, for now I've asked them to leave things as is. Curious if anyone else has seen this before with a keyed start? I know those faults happen with push to start but why would it surface all the sudden on a keyed start car that hasn't had the issue before recently?
