Hey everyone I'm currently on the verge of installing a viper 4105v. I see on the install guide there is a rear defogger wire, do i need to hook that wire up for the vehicle to start? Would i need to wire the satellite harness too? link for reference https://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/IG/Viper/QRN4105DP%202013-06%20web.pdf .Any help will be appreciated

Rear Defrost is not required for a R/S.

As for the Satellite harness, what are you using for a transponder bypass?   Are you going W2W or D2D for the bypass module? If going W2W you would need (-) Status Output (GWR) signal to control the bypass module and could use the Dark Blue wire on the Sat harness or the Blue/White Rear Defrost wire re-programmed as (-)2nd Status. If you use a bypass module that can D2D with the Viper 4105, then the Sat harness isn't necessary.

Thank you for replying to me. I was going to use a HM-T100 since it’s already in the vehicle also I’m upgrading from a AS-1424. Kind of a budget project lool. Thank you again
