I am looking into installing a remote start/alarm on my 2000 Expedition and Looking at the vehicle diagrams requested the information indicated that this vehicle has a 5 wire positive Lock and Unlock system.  Couldn't find out how to wire this on the site. Can anyone Help?  Also if you have some helpful hints on installing a remote start and alarm on the 2000 Exp. that would be helpful as this is only my second time installing an alarm.  Thanks

Mike:)

You were misinformed on The 2000 Expedition.

This is a 3 wire (-) system. To test, find the pink / YELLOW, and pink/light-green wire in the drivers side kick panel. Once located, using a simple 12 volt test light, ground the clip to the chasis, and then probe one of these 2 wires. When you send a ground, throught the test light probe, it should lock/unlock depending on the wire probed.

This denotes a 3 wire door lock, just directly connect the (-) door lock outputs from your system to the corresponding wires in the truck. Done. If you find anything different, let me know, but it's doubtfull. Most every Expedition I have ever installed in was a Neg system.

Good Luck.

By the way, here is 5 wire reverse door locks from my site at www.RELAYHELP.com

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
