just wondering if anyone here has installed a car door deadbolt kit for someone?

I am looking to build one myself and was wondering about what they use for to move the deadbolts...I want to do mine without laying out the huge cash that linear actuators would cost me...the rest would be very cheap and easy to machine up, and I didnt want to lay out too much for this little project...

any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated...

That does sound good though.   If they really wanted to get in...there's always the window.  Good luck with the project !

If you want to do dead bolts cheaply there is a company that i deal with at my job that has the kit for about 150-200 bucks. it has everything you need. very simple to install and very powerful. We did two police cars at work and they hold up to 1000 lbs of pressure.
