Hello,

Finished up my installation the other day, and I have one problem.  When I remote start the car, the Service Engine light comes on.  I have read other forums about this same problem, but they all seem to be tied to the 2nd Ignition wire.  I have two Ignition wires hooked up.  Ignition1 (pink) and Ignition2 (brown).  Any ideas?  I have the tach wire hooked up to the ignition coil on the car, reading the tach (not the voltage).

One suspicious thing that I noticed, is in the Ignition wire harness, there were TWO (2) PINK wires of the same gauge (no strips on them), and they read the same with a DMM when performing the Ignition tests.  I only used one of the pink wires for the Ignition1, and the BROWN wire for the Ignition2.  Maybe this is the problem?? Should I have used both PINK wires for Ignition1?

The Service Engine Light goes off after I stop/restart the car manually, so it isn't a big deal, but can be annoying after all those hours of installation.

You guys are wonderful in installation help, so please contribute.  Thanks in advance,

D

what you want to do is fire up that second pink wire. that wire controls some of the sensors in the car. Hook it up and you should be fine.
