Clifford used to have a good name, but I don't see much Clifford info on the forums. Mostly Alpine and Viper. Are Clifford alarms any good??

I am thinking about buying the I-750 for $500 installed, but still have a chance to back out of the deal. The I-750 is next to the top of the line, BTW.

I appreciate any comments, good or bad.

I started in 1997 doing this for a living. All we installed back in those days up until around 2000 was Clifford and nothing else.  I think that back in those days Clifford was the best security system around and very expensive too, it was more suitable for high end cars. But as they say, you pay for what you get and Clifford was a great product.  The only thing that sucked was Technical support they were a bunch of idiots always in a crappy mood but that's another story. Today, DEI has taken over Clifford and all that is left is the name. The wiring, programming, module, siren is all DEI. To me, is like buying a DEI alarm using a Clifford disguise, only what you see is Clifford (remote, valet and led)  STILL, I think is crafted with  more quality than most DEI systems and definitely way better than any Asian or U.S made alarm. So do I still recommend it? yeah I do!

Thanks, I appreciate your reply.

I just hope whoever installs the thing is not going to be hung-over or have a bad hair day...
