I'm trying to find out if I have to do a 5 wire door lock relay with the GMC Sierra 96. If so where do I find the motor and the switch wire for lock and unlock. I think it's in the kickpanel but i'm not sure. Thank you .

actually is a reverse polarity you need a couple of relays to make it work. The wires are by the kick panel white and lt. blue

30 motor side

87a switch side

85 and 87 to a fused 12v supply

86 signal from alarm

do it for both lock and unlock cut the wire and install the relay as shown.

So I'm suppose to cut the White and Lt. blue wire?

Be careful, make sure its five wire first! It can be either 5 wire, OR 3 wire positive pulse. If its a 2 door and came without factory keyless entry, then it will be 5 wire. But if its a 4 door crewcab, or if it DID come with factory keyless entry, then it will be 3 wire positive pulse.
