I installed an HID system on this vehicle the problem is that when you factory-arm or disarm the system, both the parking lights and headlights flash and HID lights are not designed to be flashing so this is the second set that the car fries and I just realized what the problem really is.. I need to know if someone knows how to disable the headlight flashing feature from this factory alarm system.

Just grab the install pamphlet/manual that comes with the alarm system. Find the color code of the wire that it sends off to the headlights. It should be seperate from the parking lights, so you will still have the parking light flash feature. Once you locate it, just cut the wire, disabling the alarm from talking to your headlights, but not affecting the alarms performance.

mmm I think you're assuming that this is a "whateverbrand" alarm system. Believe me if it was an aftermarket I wouldn't be here asking for advice, I know the way around aftermarket systems.  Did you read where I wrote that this is a factory installed system? Where do I get a factory alarm "pamphlet" for a 2003 Venture? thanks though

I would first find the wire that goes to power the headlights, preferably somewhere inside the car if you can. It would of course be helpful if you had the factory service manual, but you can always find it just by looking around.

Anyway, find the headlight wire wherever it is convenient for you, cut it in half, and now try the factory alarm. Hopefully the headlights won't operate now.

Then, just wire up a relay so that the headlights are killed with the car off, but they can operate with the car on.

BTW. Do they always flash (the headlights) or does the owner just not use the E brake? I know I have a simular issue with Silverado's and RS (not flashing but coming on during RS).
