I"m transplanting a DEI 551 starter from an 89 Regal to a 95 Cutlass Supreme. Regal did not have power door locks, much less keyless entry. yet installer had not only 4 DEI relays but a 5th Bosch installed. Was this for the parking lights? If so I guess I still need it.
95 Cutlass has keyless entry, I only want to carry one key fob obviously. What wires do I connect to make Buttons I and II open doors trunk on DEI transmitter?

the 551 is a stand alone remote start, unless it's a 551r. If the wire to the relay in question is going to a white wire from your 551 then ,yes , it's for the parking lights. Let me know which 551 you have and I will get you the wiring and program diagram for it. Here is the wiring info for you new car (95 cutlass supreme):

Notes:

The blue wire on the Bosch relay was run through firewall to front of car by parking lights. This is indeed the 551R.
Also, no tach wire was run through firewall. Either Best Buy cut corners or there is a tach under dash?

Either it is running tachless or they caught the tach inside. That wire is probably to the lights if that's where it's running. Either way it will work but it will work better with a tach wire connected.(smoother starting) PM me your email address and I will get the manual emailed to you for the 551r.
