How can I reprogram the keypad on the outside of the door without knowing the codes previously used?

there are a series of different key turns that you need to do on that vehicle to program remotes....go to ebay and search for ford keyless keypad. its the add on keypad that doesnt require wireing but does exactly as yours.

on one of the auctions .....there is a spot to download the pdf. file for programming. i will try and find it for you and edit this posting.
