In an Avital 2200 where the shock sensor is built into the brain, how do you hook up the 2 zone sensor.

The way I'm talking of would go like this

Red 12volts, Black Ground, Green negative door trigger, and blue to the trunk/hatch trigger. Am i correct on this?

Also for the battery back up. Red 12 volts, Black Ground, Blue trunk hatch trigger, and gray 12volts.

For the red and gray wires; Can i just hook them both up to 12volts or no. red goes to 12 volts and gray would connect to the 12 volt wire coming off the brain. Only thing it says dont support extras with the back up( lights, trigger....) So am i right on both.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Don't know about "hooing" it, but all you have to do is join the blue and green coming from the sensor and tie them the the blue wire on the main harness. The blue wire is multiplexed and will do both warn away and full trigger. Without knowing which backup battery system you have ( so this is a guess), the red should get +12 volts (input) and the grey (output) will supply directly to the alarm, so hook the grey wire to the red wire of the alarm.

Thanks, wasn't sure if I hooked up both blue and green to the blue from the alarm if it would still have a warn away feature.

I'm also following you on the backup battery. If you think about it though, what would the difference be from hooking it up one way from the other. Either way for the backup to kick over the battery has to be discounted. Then you would have it feed the 12volt wire causing it to drain faster, I suppose.

If you hooked the input and the output together then the BUB would be powering the entire vehicle as apposed to just the alarm hence killing the BUB rather quickly. Anothere thing to think about is if the thief shorts the pos and neg of the main battery cables it will possibly short the BUB if it is supplying power to the entire vehicle as apposed to just the alarm.

Not to mention that when the red wire on the BUB looses 12volts+ it will set the alarm off. It thinks the battery wire is being cut.
