Ok, i purchased a pro-start-3300.  I got it in, and decided that, ok i can do this.  I started wiring it up, u know thinking so far so good.  Got the starting half hooked up, not started on the lights, keyless entry or alarm and figure, well at least it will start til i can get to it again.  Well, it wont start, is this due to incorrect wiring, or not all components wired up yet.  Please, n e input at this time would be GREAT:x

Is the truck itself not starting up or is it just that the remote start won't function?  If it is that the remote start won't function you would probably just have to make sure that the ps3300 has the 12volts constant, ground, antenna, and all of the usual remote start connections at the steering column and possibly the tach under the hood.

i have never worked with that brand, but from experience i do know that you don't need to have everything hooked up, just things relatted to the starter.  be shure you have your hood pin switch mounted properly so it gets pushed down when the hood is closed.   Did you learn the transmitter?  most brands need to be learnt, you have to go through a process in the instructions.   but finish the lights and brake wire, and toggle switch, and it should work.

You used to be able to get the information here from Auto Start, but I think they have since expired the line. What model do you need information on ? I have some manuals for programming that I can shoot to your email . Just shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send you the file, if I have.

Some times the two red power wires at the connector doesn't make good contact, check for power dowstream of connector.   If your unit flashes but will not start, program the tach.

its not the power, its weird.  When i try to learn the tach, it doesnt take it.  The book says that the led light should stay on after releasing the brake, but it doesnt, and it goes into valet mode where i can take the key out and leave the car running and take my keys with me.  Does this tell u n e thing???

No, its for an automatic, and when u hit the brake it kills the engine and disengages the valet mode.  I think that i have decided to un wire everything and see if i can get someone to just install it that way i have a guarntee, Unless someone can give me a great diagram and or picture of what it needs to look like.

Go to www.prostart.org you need the serial# of your unit then you get access to wiring diagrams. Where did you hook up the tach wire? I used the front passenger injector, don't cut the wire just take off the insulation.

We've noticed that more units have become sensitive to RF intereference.  If your hooked to -ve side of coil, try putting a capacitor inline and reprogram.  The parking lights will flash.
