I installed a keyless entry/remote start in my 92 Ford Explorer. The remote start works fine but I tapped in to the wires right off the master switch for the locks, I cant seem to get them to operate with the remote is there anyone who can help and guide me in the right direction

You likely have reverse polarity door locks since iy is more likely to not have factory keyless in 92. In this case the locks will test positive but then you need to cut the factory wires and install relays in between.

Pin 87a goes to the switch side of the cut wire, Pin 87 and 86 get 12v+ constant fused, Pin 30 gets the actuator side of the cut wire, and then Pin 85 gets the respective (-) lock or unlock output from the key less entry unit you are installing.

johnny, you can also get a DLS and wire that up if u have the RP dool locks.it might be easiser and faster for you...........
