Hey all,

I have an Ungo MS2005 alarm that I will be installing into my '00 Ford Contour SVT.  I have installed a few alarms before but need help with this one.  The 12V, grounds, and triggers are no problem, but this unit has a few more wires.  This unit has a remote start, but I think I need the "key chip" installed next to the ignition for this to operate correctly.  The following are the wires I'm not sure about.  Can you please tell me what wire (function and color) that they go to.

- Tachometer input
- Brake input (+)
- Ground when running/Armed (-) output (500mA)
- (+) Starter output
- (+) Accessory output
- (+) Ignition 1 output
- (+) Ignition 2 output
- (+) Main power input A
- (+) Main power input B

It also doesn't seem to have a 12v ignition input

Thanks in advance.

Henry

Tach input goes to tach wire under hood at coil, brake input goes to hot side of brake pedal switch, starter output goes to starter wire at ignition harness, accessory & ignition outputs go to the corresponding wires at ignition harness and main power inputs a and b go to 12v constant at ignition harness. Constant will read 12v in any key position, ignition will read 12v only in acc, on, and running, accessory will read 12v in acc, on, and run, but cut out at cranking, and starter will read 12v only when key is turned to start. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Can you tell me the purpose of the wires that states:

"ground when running / armed (-) output [500mA]"

"(+) accessory output"

"(+) ignition 1 output"

"(+) ignition 2 output"

"(+) main power intput A"

"(+) main power input B"

Which one of these leads goes to a positive 12v ignition source?  How does the brain know that the ignition is on?

OK, I figured it out with my 20 year old multi-meter from Radio Shack and my 37 year old brain.
