hi installed viper 150 xhf with 555l. the problem im having is it occassionaly trips the theft light causing car not to start.  it has only happened 2 times but it is the mother in laws car.  anyone have any ideas i've ruled out cold solder because it happened once last year and again tonight. kinda weird but someone once posted "if something goes wrong it''s gotta be families"

Where did you connect the "ground" wire from the 555L? If you connected it to true ground you will get the occasional problem you are experiencing. It needs to go to the passlock ground reference wire next to the passlock data wire.

Also some times the resistance changes slightly with temperature, I had the same problem before. What kind of vehicle?

if you use the passlock ground, it should eliminate it locking up, I agree.
