the nuetral safty switch? I never used these, I just ground that wire otherwise you have to explain too much crap to customers and also they have that switch turned off and they dont know why their remote start's dont work, just a big pain in the ass if you ask me

But if you want to us it, connect the nuetral safety switch wire from the RS to the switch you should have gotten with the RS (should have a BLACK/ white wire) then ground the other end of that wire and your done. When it is on the car will RS, when it is fliped the car will not RS< works the same was as a hood pin really.

hope this helps

white behind the instrument cluster.  That is where I go for the tach.......

behind the cluster doesnt work until the new trucks, either 99 or 00+.  the ones ive pulled before that are all plugs that snap into the dash, you cant get to the harness.  the tach is white at the ECM, which is located on drivers side inner fender. Tach wire found in a black plug marked 'white'.

if you use anything but a DMM on the wrong circuit you can mess some stuff up.  an installer at my job before me toasted a $900 computer from a test light/logic probe.

i wouldnt worry about a neutral safety aswitch.  most vehicles wont start unless its in park anyway.  and who/how would you get out of the vehicle not in park.  i dont think you can take the keys out.
