I just got done hookin up a RS and it usually does not crank on the first try. I'm guessing I need to hook up the tach wire. The site lists it as:

TachBLACK/ Gray Or Dark Blue/Green Coil Pack 2 Cylinder Setting

but I'm not sure where to look for either of those wires. Can anyone familiar with the car give me more detail about where to look? Or is there an alternate spot under the dash?

Thanks guys!

Erin H.

i found the distributor... i see a few wires plugging into it, but it is underneath a lot of stuff... there is only about an inch of room going to it, is there any alternate places?

What kind of alarm is it? Are you using Tach or Voltage sensing to remote start it? If you are having a hard time finding the tach under the hood you can always find the tach behind the instrument cluster.

i think if the info say that its on certain coil pack that mean that theres no distributor. modern cars have distributorless type which have its own coil right ontop of the spark plug. the coil might have 2-4 wires depend on ur car makes and models. unlike the older car which use a single coil to distribute to each cylinder. if you have 4 bangers, you have 4 coils not one and no distributor cap nor wires.

btw....2nd cylinder is the 2nd one from the timing belt (front side)
i hope am on the right track here.......
good luck!!!!
