I just installed a Valet 561R into my 1999 GMC 2500. It works great.

But I have 2 questions

1) Does somebody have a wiring diagram on how to hook up the arm and disarm feature (using the Valet key fob) I am connected to the Lt Blue and White at the BCM and this works Ok, but should i be connected to the Lt green also. Do i use the  disarm and rearm (light GREEN/ black and GREEN / WHITE) wires of the Valet 561R module. I noticed some topics about using diodes this is where a diagram would be nice.

2) When i remote start the truck and let it run the 12 minutes and it shuts off  i noticed 30 minutes later that the radio was still playing inside, when i opened the door (drivers) the radio shut off. Is this normal or is there a way around this.

The vehicle has RAP (Retained Accessory Power) which allows the driver to use power accessories for 30 minutes after the the key is turned off if they remain in the vehicle. You may be able to use your GREEN / WHITE (-) Factory rearm output and a relay to pulse the driver's door trigger after shutdown. I think this would trick the computer into thinking the door was opened and the power accesories will turn off.posted_image

you need to use the LT/Green of the truck to disarm so when remote starting the alarm will not go off use the disarm wire from your remote starter unit to disarm truck should arm it self when you lock he doors
