work for any alarm? I can't see why not if the connectors/wire match up?

I hate cutting wires to add my proximty sensor to my system.

No. It eill only work on Omega/Crimestopper alarms. Just bite the bullet and cut the wires that need to be cut and solder them in place.

Why are you avoiding to solder? It really isn't that bad. If you avoid cutting, you'll be too restricted in any electronic/electrical project.

Dont mind the soldering. I use to own a VCR/TV repair shop. I just like the "neat" install is all. Guess I better stock up on heat shrink!

Fullthrottle, I used to own a tv/vcr repair shop too a long time ago and am now worried about all the lead fumes I breathed from the melting solder and flux. Only now I learnt that they have solder with silver instead of lead, which is "safe"r. Im now trying to breathe some fresh air and eat healthy etc to try to get rid of whatever bad smoke I inhaled in the past. I hope it doesn't affect me. Try to avoid lead as much as possible.

So I take it you're an expert at soldering. I understand what you mean by saying you want a neat install. There was a time I thought exactly the same!

I guess you got to stock up on heat shrink!

Well, since I smoke too much, drink too much and chase wild women Im not gonna worry about the lead in the solder! I can only imagine the damage I did using acid core flux on some of those big screens! JUST KIDDING!

I wouldnt consider myself an expert but I can make some prudy solder globs! posted_image
